Intimità Quotidiane. La costruzione della sfera intima nelle coppie contemporanee

"Everyday Intimacy. The construction of intimacy in contemporary couples" The research deals with the issue of intimacy in daily experience of contemporary couples. A journey into the stories and everyday practices for understanding the meaning that the two partners give to their union, the intimacy as a red thread with which to weave the cloth. With an inductive methodology and adopting the Blumer’s concept of sensitizing (1969), 48 people were interviewed, including women and men in couples. To be able to join in the fabric of their relationship and rebuild the texture of their being together, attention was focused on three specific areas of the house: the bedroom, the bathroom and the kitchen. Metaphorical places of identify, significant domestic spaces that allowed to enter the heart of research making the subjects interviewed the real protagonists, through representations of the different dimensions of their intimacy. Domestic spaces in which body and senses have occupied a leading place bringing out its physiological, relational, and identity of both partners, the expression of the closeness of the two bodies in everyday life, like the three-wire with which to weave the story of intimacy. Returning to Simmel’s definition of intimacy (1908) it has been entered in the depths of personal interactions, highlighting the practice of weaving their intimacy through the seam and unwrapping their personal boundaries. Simmel, in particular, has represented the needle with which to weave the entire search, entering and exiting from the everyday scenarios represented by the two partners, enabling them to reflect on how, through intimate interactions, we build the process of association. After the initial stages focused on the history of the couple within the story of their encounter and on some aspects of socialization, attention was focused first on the key areas of the house, represented by the three everyday scenarios and then on specific and limited borderline circumstances that are significant for understanding the movement of the borders of the spheres in the path of personal sharing and construction of the intimate sphere.

"Intimità Quotidiane. La costruzione della sfera intima nelle coppie contemporanee" La ricerca affronta il tema dell’intimità all’interno dell’esperienza quotidiana della coppia contemporanea. Un viaggio all’interno dei racconti e delle pratiche quotidiane per cogliere il senso che i due partner danno alla loro unione, utilizzando l’intimità come filo rosso con cui tessere l’intera ricerca. Con una metodologia di tipo induttivo ed adottando il concetto sensibilizzante di Blumer (1969), sono state intervistate 48 persone, tra donne e uomini in coppia. Per riuscire ad entrare nelle maglie della loro relazione e ricostruire la trama del loro stare assieme l’attenzione si è focalizzata su tre determinati spazi della casa: la camera da letto, la stanza da bagno e la cucina. Luoghi metaforici delle identità, spazi domestici significativi che hanno permesso di entrare nel cuore della ricerca rendendo i soggetti intervistati i veri protagonisti, attraverso le rappresentazioni delle diverse dimensioni della loro intimità. Spazi domestici in cui il corpo e i sensi hanno occupato un posto principale facendo emergere i bisogni fisiologici, relazionali e identitari dei due partner, espressione della vicinanza dei due corpi nella quotidianità, come i tre fili con cui tessere la trama dell’intimità. Riprendendo la definizione di intimità di Simmel (1908) si è entrati nel profondo delle interazioni personali, facendo emergere le pratiche di tessitura della loro intimità attraverso la cucitura e scucitura dei propri confini personali. Simmel, in particolare, ha rappresentato l’ago con cui tessere l’intera ricerca, entrando ed uscendo dagli scenari quotidiani rappresentati dai due partner e permettendo di riflettere su come, attraverso le interazioni intime, si costruisca il processo di sociazione. Dopo essersi soffermati sulle tappe iniziali della storia della coppia nel racconto del loro incontro e su alcuni aspetti della socializzazione, si è focalizzata l’attenzione prima sugli spazi cardine della casa, rappresentati dai tre scenari quotidiani, e successivamente su determinate e circoscritte situazioni “di confine”, significative per cogliere il movimento delle frontiere delle sfere personali nel percorso di condivisione e di costruzione della sfera intima.
