The radical reform of human subjectivity constitutes the carrying nucleus of the wide post-human cultural constellation. The overcoming of anthropocentric humanism represents both its main assertion and his line of departure: we are living today in a post-human condition, that requires theoretical elaboration. A debate between the post-human theory and the pedagogical horizon appears historically unavoidable: but is it possible? All the post-humanistic requests, plainly anti-anthropocentric, are joined by the requirement not to separate the man respect to others beings of the nature: avoiding to fall into old positivist theses, the attention focuses on bodies - human body between many others – as an ontological base to the post-human world. We are considering two auctors, exemplary for their philosophical and scientific depth: Roberto Marchesini and Rosi Braidotti. They both attempt to lead back the human to the dimension of zoé, removing it from the bios, in deeply different modalities, but with various common features. Marchesini offers an original approach to the darwinism and ethological topics, Braidotti starts from the theoretical and philosophical wealth of post-structuralist feminism. Texts demonstrate adequately that there are no unsurmountable obstacles to a dialogue between pedagogy and the post-human, with some exceptions (i.e. the transhumanism). The man is not abandoned to biological determinism – his scientific consistency is refused. Any dogmatic illusions on the technological future (to which the humanity more and more is exposed) are rejected. The spaces for a post-human educability appear therefore opened, although they are still indeterminate: today, the absence of “accomplished” categories in the post-human environment (the person, above all) prevent the rising of a pedagogical speech in posthumanistic key, but only a perspective exploration. However, there are various interesting premises: behind “the post-human” we could find a true practical-political strain, made to contrast the specific alienation structures of the present, rooted in the advanced capitalism and in its outcomes. A “difficult humanism” is therefore possible and desirable also in the post-humanistic vision: here it becomes a practical outlook, not different in this respect from any other, as it happens in the pedagogy for its same practical nature. To theoretical level, we found very interesting the centrality of the imagination for post-human theory. Not in a trivial sense, but as body potentiality, the imagination is the force that puts into effect the free openness of the subject, connecting the physical, symbolic and sociological dimensions. Grounded philosophically on the post-structuralist interpretation of the Spinoza’s thought, it is a reading hypothesis that we consider pedagogically promising.
